ENGAGEMENT AND TRAINING

As part of our service conserving all aspects of furniture, we have worked in-situ throughout the country, working within historic house settings, being respectful to the historic environment. Often this is to work on items in a collection which are too large to move or are part of the fixtures in a collection. We also offer general maintenance of a collection.
Whilst working in-situ we can offer engagement and training for the public (conservation in action) and staff (House Study Days) alike. These engagement periods offer the public an insight to the historic methods, materials and techniques used and the methods used in the conservation of the items and provide the staff with further understanding for maintaining items within their collections
We can also offer tailor-made educational sessions in: Gilding, Woodcarving, Furniture restoration and Japanning for those who require further skills or as part of their CPD training.
